Usable Security, Privacy and Trust (USec)

The group's work is based on a human-centred perspective on security, trust and privacy in the Internet. In usable security, users can understand the security and are able to have an active part in controlling their security and privacy online. Trust emerges from this ability and forms the basis for succesful interactions in online activities. This ability is heavily influenced by the difference between a poor user interface and a good one.

This group was active 2009-2012 but is no longer in existence. The group was part of the Future Internet research programme.
