My background is in Clinical Psychology and I recently graduated from a joint Professional Master's program in Human-Computer Interaction by Carnegie Mellon University (U.S.A.) and University of Madeira (Portugal).
Interests
Understanding and improving the relationship between people and technology, user behavior and social networking, interaction design, field research.
Current Activities
As part of my work in USec I'm currently conducting user studies on the topic of online trust, privacy and security. The final aim of the project will be to create a more usable security allowing users to naturally and effortlessly employ it during their daily online transactions.
Recent Work
As part of my Master's capstone project I worked in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team of 5 members. Having to design a banking solution for Microfinance Institutions in Mozambique, I spent some time in the field gathering data and validating design concepts later.
Part of this work was described on a paper - Aiming for Mobile Banking in Mozambique: A Case of Field Research for Interaction Design.
