HIIT Director appointed Helsinki Node Manager of EIT ICT Labs

19 Feb 2010 - The Director of HIIT, Dr Patrik Floréen, has been appointed Helsinki Node Manager of the EIT ICT Labs. The appointment is for the preparatory phase, until the end of July 2010. Floréen will also continue as HIIT Director.

The Manager position for the Helsinki Node of EIT ICT Labs became vacant when Professor Martti Mäntylä was appointed Chief Science and Technology Officer of the whole EIT ICT Labs.

European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has decided to launch three Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) in this year. One of the nodes of the the ICT KIC, EIT ICT Labs, will be in Helsinki.
