Description:
The maximum entropy principle has been a promising approach for learning
models with complex dependency constraints in many areas of science. Here we propose
a generalization of the maximum entropy principle based on the Tsallis entropy
and apply it to the recognition of splice donor sites and transcription factor binding
sites.
