In the last few years a number of open source computational environments

have been developed for creative purposes. Tools such as Processing and

Nodebox help artists and designer to sketch and share creative, multimodal

and interactive works. In this presentation, part of the ongoing research

carried out on this theme at the Discovery Group will be introduced.

Current exploration is aimed at combining different dimensions of creative

text production and presentation, through the integration of link

discovery, lexical replacement and text animation.
