M.Sc. José Caldas will defend the dissertation "Graphical Models for Biclustering and Information Retrieval in Gene Expression Data" on April 20th, 2012. The dissertation discusses the use of probabilistic methods for analyzing gene expression data. Novel methods are proposed for the computational tasks of biclustering and information retrieval.
