Description:

London Style

2012-10-23 16:15-17:00 @ A111, Exactum

The intent of this talk is to share my experience of implementing a very large-scale wireless network. I will present some of the issues that surface on both the general scale and on the human level. What do networks that span hundreds, thousands and tens of thousands of access points look like? Why and how has London been covered with WLANs on its streets, subway, shopping malls and cafés? What kind of problems surface on a daily basis and how can permit-free wireless communication solve them?

Evaluation and differences of wireless solutions

2012-10-23 17:15-18:00 @ A111, Exactum

How should wireless solutions be tested in controlled environments and in the field? What kind of differences are caused by the environment, the typical problems and practical tips on solving them. Examples, differences, and results from building both professional and homebrew testing labs
