Abstract:

Community detection is a fundamental problem of data mining, in which we cluster nodes in a graph into communities. It has been receiving a great deal of attention in the data mining research community because of its wide applications. In this talk, we will first discuss three kinds of nodes that play important roles in connecting communities. We will further introduce our method of how to use these important nodes to discover communities in a graph.
