A museum is a cultural entity whose aim is to conserve, organize, study and research as well as give access to precious tangible and intangible heritage assets of society. The online eMuseums will be realized through the combined use of design, information technology, computing resources, and community collaboration. Through eMuseums it is also possible to improve our use of energy resources, by focusing on sustainability and allowing us to research and analyze the relationship between the digitalization of cultural heritage and energy consumption. The key target of this study is to develop energy usage models of eMuseums and try to develop concepts to improve sustainability of cultural heritage through eMuseums.
