Abstract: Business requirements and aspirations for data solutions are constantly changing. How does the research sector stay relevant to the increasingly data intensive world? This talk discusses vistas to contemporary industrial data science, contrasts to consider, and big trends that forge the data science of tomorrow.
Bio: Niko Vuokko is a data science expert who has delivered data solutions for IBM Research, Sandvik Mining, Nokia, Fisheries Research and others. Niko holds a PhD in data mining, a bronze medal from math olympics and is a co-founder of Metrify.io.
