Academy of Finland funding to HIIT researchers Matti Järvisalo, Tuukka Ruotsalo and Alexandru Tomescu

Dr Matti Järvisalo got Academy of Finland's 5-year Academy Research Fellow funding for his research on "Decision Procedures for the Polynomial Hierarchy, Boolean Optimization, and Model Counting (PHantoM)". More information on Matti's research is found in this page.

Dr Tuukka Ruotsalo got Academy of Finland's 3-year Postdoctoral Researcher funding for his research on "Multisource Intent-prediction for Interactive Information Retrieval" which is closely tied to HIIT Wide Focus Area.

Dr Alexandru Ioan Tomescu also got Academy of Finland's 3-year Postdoctoral Researcher funding for his research where the aim is to provide novel and unifying models and efficient and accurate algorithmic solutions for the multi-assembly of genomic sequences. More information in this page.
