The Aalto University Department of Information and Computer Science invites applications for postdoctoral researchers in several areas of computing research. The closing date for applications is March 25, 2013. The positions are filled for two years. The Department of Computer Science (http://www.cs.helsinki.fi/), part of the Science Faculty at the University of Helsinki, is the leading unit for research and education in computer science in Finland. The focus areas of research and education at the department are 1) algorithms and machine learning, 2) networking and services, and 3) software systems.

We offer a full-time master thesis worker position, starting right away, with great flexibility in focus. The general topic is Mobile Interaction with the core area Text Entry. There is opportunity to combine this with a paid research assistant job. The project is carried out in HIIT, a collaboration between Aalto University and the University of Helsinki. We can provide working space and equipment in the new Open Innovation House (OIH) building in Otaniemi.
