28 Jan 2009 - Children can tell more about their day in kindergarten with camera phones. In a study made in HIIT 3- to 6-year-old nursery school children were given mobile phones with cameras. The pictures were automatically transferred to a web service for the parents and teachers to see. In the evenings the parents looked at shots with their children. When viewing the images together, the children were able to tell better about the events of the day. Viewing the images did not decrease the time the parents spent with their children.

The study made by Jaana Näsänen, Antti Oulasvirta and Asko Lehmuskallio will be published at CHI 2009 conference.
