NAPS — Subproject Algorithmics

The project works on fundamental topology control and routing problems in ad hoc networks, using tools from modern algorithmics. The project is part of the Networking and Architecture in Proactive Systems (NAPS, 2003–2005) consortium.

Stepwise: Semantic Interpreter Widened Experience

Stepwise is a subcontracted project from Nokia Research Centre. Its aim is to improve the user experience of context-aware services on mobile devices. The project started in September 2006 and ended in August 2007.

In the project, we developed Capricorn, an intelligent user interface for mobile widgets. In addition, we carried out usability evaluations of the interface. Scientific Advisory Board Meeting 15.-17.11.2004

A discussion concerning the strategic development of HIIT is under way. The objective is to merge the two units Advanced Research Unit (ARU) and Basic Research Unit (BRU).

We have set up this website for you. Here you can find the documents, as well as the publications cited in the overview document, and the HIIT Annual Report 2003.

We wish SAB to give its opinion on the potential of the different research groups and to give suggestions on developing our research agenda.
