27 Feb 2009 - The Finnish Cultural Foundation has awarded a Science Workshop grant (€200 000) on stemmatology for the years 2009–2010. Stemmatology, a subfield of textual criticism, means the study of the gradual variation of written texts contained in old manuscripts.

HIIT’s virtual economy researcher received an award for the Master's Thesis

26 Feb 2009 - Tuukka Lehtiniemi has received the University of Helsinki Faculty of Social Sciences annual award for the best Master Thesis in the field of economics. Lehtiniemi made his research for the Master’s Thesis ”Macroeconomic indicators in a virtual economy” as a researcher of Helsinki Institute for Information Technology HIIT.
