www.hiit.fi CMS upgrade at 2012-03-23 13:00 - 21:00

Description: 

www.hiit.fi web site Drupal CMS software upgrade from version 6 to version 7. The site will also be moved to another server (from peregrin.it.hiit.fi to faramir.it.hiit.fi ).

During the break HIIT's primary web site www.hiit.fi is available only for browsing. Login and editing in Drupal CMS are disabled.

Update at 2012-03-23 21:13: The upgrade took more time than expected but the new site is up now. Please report any problems to it-web at hiit dot fi.

Update at 2012-03-27 17:21: Users' home pages were temporarily unavailable from Friday the 23rd  to Monday the 27th due to server misconfiguration. Mnemonic addresses of the form http://www.hiit.fi/Firstname.Lastname were not available until Tuesday. Don't hesitate to report any problems with the new site to it-web at hiit dot fi.

Update at 2012-04-04 14:35: If you are logged in but don't see the edit tab make sure you are accessing the page through HTTPS, i.e. the address should start with https://.

Low disk space in /group fileshare at 2012-03-13 08:30-10:30

Description: 

Due to low disk space in /group filesystem in fs.hiit.fi there was notable slowness in group share.

This caused slowness also in shell-server and web-server.

Otaverkko Oy will be servicing their systems. This will cause breaks in sending and receiving e-mail as well as webmail logins. Also, the account management interface at https://my.otaverkko.fi/ won't be accessible during the break.
