TIETOTEKNIIKAN TUTKIMUSLAITOS HIITIN OHJESÄÄNTÖ

Tämän ohjesäännön on hyväksynyt Aalto- yliopisto 2.6.2010 ja Helsingin yliopisto 9.6.2010.

1 § Tehtävät

Tietotekniikan tutkimuslaitos HIIT (Forskningsinstitutet för Informationsteknologi HIIT, Helsinki Institute for Information Technology HIIT, jäljempänä HIIT). HIIT on yliopistolain 27 §:n mukainen Aalto- yliopiston ja Helsingin yliopiston yhteinen laitos.

Almost 800 Participants in the July Conferences

21 Aug 2008 - Several international conferences on artificial intelligence have attracted almost 800 participants to Helsinki in July. The series of conferences was the most important international scientific event of year on machine learning.

Palkittua tutkimusta: Musiikki soi suomalaisten päissä

Uuden tutkimuksen mukaan 59 prosentilla suomalaisista soi päivittäin päässään suomen- tai englanninkielinen laulumusiikki, muusikoilla myös instrumentaalimusiikki. Eniten ilmiön yleisyyteen vaikuttaa aktiivinen musiikin kuuntelu ja harrastus. Seuraavaksi tärkeimpiä tekijöitä ovat sukupuoli ja ikä. Naisilla ja nuoremmilla ikäryhmillä kokemukset ovat miehiä ja vanhempia toistuvampia.
