Tietotekniikan tutkimuslaitos HIITille uusi johtaja

Tietotekniikan tutkimuslaitos HIITin johtaja, professori Heikki Mannila on nimitetty Aalto-yliopiston akateemisten asioiden vararehtoriksi. HIITin johtajaksi ajalle 15.11.2009-31.07.2010 on nimitetty nimitetty FT, dosentti Patrik Floréen. Tämän kauden aikana päivitetään HIITin johtosääntö ja toteutetaan uuden johtajan haku.

23 Nov 2009 - PhD, docent Patrik Floréen has been appointed the new Director of HIIT. Helsinki University of Technology and the University of Helsinki have appointed Floréen as the HIIT Director for the term 15 November 2009 to 31 July 2010.

Doctoral dissertation: Three methods for the haplotype inference problem

20 Nov 2009 - In Pasi Rastas' Doctoral disseration, three methods are presented for the haplotype inference problem. The problems studied belong to the broad area of bioinformatics and computational biology. The presented solutions are computationally fast and accurate, which makes them practical in high-throughput sequence data analysis.
