Survey: P2P users break the law consciously

P2P (peer-to-peer) users are aware that they are breaking the law, say the researchers of the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology HIIT. Recent survey results published by international law and technology journal Scripted suggest that about half of the users even consider the use of illegal file sharing sites as morally wrong.

5 Apr 2008 - The HIIT's multitouch screen research team has been honored as an Award Nominee at the conference of Computer-Human Interaction (CHI) by the SIGCHI “Best of CHI” program. Only 5% of all submissions to the conference were considered Award Nominees.

The Helsinki Institute for Information Technology's multitouch screen research team has been honored as an Award Nominee at the conference of Computer-Human Interaction (CHI). Only 5% of all submissions to the conference were considered Award Nominees by the SIGCHI "Best of CHI" program. HIIT is pleased to be recognized by the Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction (SIGCHI) for its CHI Paper.
